Sainté

More than just a photo series, the project incorporates a sociological approach to provide depth through research, reading, and meetings with the inhabitants.
For two years, I crisscrossed the city from neighborhood to neighborhood, collecting testimonies to show Saint-Etienne in a neutral way while being as immersive as possible.
The photos aim to show Saint-Etienne as it truly is: a city composed of a multitude of stories and destinies. Nothing extraordinary, no tourist attractions, historical sites, or remarkable architectural structures. Simply an immersion into the daily lives of the city's neighborhoods and its inhabitants.
